A lot of great things are happening in JAM!! We have been learning about the treasure of God’s Word. Would we die for the chance to own a Bible? Many people have led the way so that we can have a Bible in the English language. Our goal is to be missionaries right here in Sedgwick, reaching out with the “arms and feet” of Jesus.

Thank you to all the sponsors who make JAM possible: Denise Luedtke, Sue Bechtel, and Tony Brown; we couldn’t do it without you!

A huge thank you to Kathy Hewett and everyone who made the
Valentine’s Banquet a success!

The Minister's Pen

Our minister, Kim Beckwith, is returning this weekend from a mission trip in Austria.  He will have much to report on at a later date.  Be here Sunday to welcome him back home!

With Daylight Saving Time on March 13, and the Spring break from school in the week of March 21-25, it will be time to vote on the 1st Tuesday in April.  Our church will be open for voting Tues., April 5 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Easter will bring a time of joy on April 24. as we join together for Sunrise service and breakfast, followed by

Sunday school and worship hour.

Believe it or not on April 27, Awana will have it’s final night of Wednesday evening meetings.

Thinking ahead to May we concentrate on graduation.  If you have a son, daughter, grand child, or other family member who is graduating from grade school, high school, or college, please let the church office know, so that we might congratulate them on Sunday, May 8.  If you have a close relative graduating in an area other than Sedgwick, let us know so we can recognize them, too.

Moving right along, June 6 through the 10th has been set aside on the calendar for VBS.  We will be doing Panda Mania, so if it sounds fun, you can count on it being fun.  We need teachers, assistants, youth helpers (any youth who has finished 7th grade), kitchen helpers, and lots of cooks to bake cookies or furnish lemonade for daily

refreshments.  The VBS program will be Friday, June 10, at 7:00 p.m.  We will  need extra cookies and lemonade for the reception, and a sign-up sheet will be on the foyer

table.  Would anyone be interested in setting up for the reception?  We could use a few eager people to serve.

Prairie View Christian Camp will receive the 7th-8th grade June 12-17.  June 26-30 will be open for 5th-6th, June 30-July 2 is for 3rd-4th grade campers.  Campers attend the camp for the class they will go into next year.
